The entire Savage team came together to design, build, and create Sam: South Milwaukee’s biggest (and hairiest) cheerleader. We’re honored to announce that this creative act of bravery paid off—South Milwaukee Sam has been awarded in the United Adworkers 2025 Ninety Nine Show! With his one-of-a-kind website and visionary video campaign, it’s a no-brainer South Milwaukee’s resident Sasquatch is gaining industry recognition.
United Adworkers: The Ninety Nine Show
The United Adworkers are a local organization highlighting and recognizing the best work in the advertising, marketing, and creative industries. Each year, 99 pieces are selected to be featured in their annual Ninety Nine Show. The Savage team was elated to have one of our coolest projects yet—South Milwaukee Sam—featured for its website and video campaign. South Milwaukee Sam took home the bronze in the ‘Website, App, or Mobile Experiences’ and ‘Video Campaign Multiple Lengths’ categories!
Website, App, or Mobile Experiences
South Milwaukee Sam’s custom-built, interactive website is truly one of its kind. Featuring his origin story, a Sam Tracker, contact form, and even a blog all about the hidden gems and best things to do in the City of South Milwaukee, it serves as the ultimate platform to attract residents, businesses, and visitors to the city.
Video Campaign Multiple Lengths
Whether you’ve seen it on the local news channel or pinned to the top of Sam’s social media channels, South Milwaukee Sam’s debut video campaign turned out Sam-tastic. From weeks of shooting, hours spent designing graphics, and even incorporating our own team members in the final cut, we couldn’t have been more proud to launch Sam through this epic video campaign.
Savage and South Milwaukee—An Award Winning Collaboration
After rebranding the City in 2017, we’re honored to continue to collaborate with the City of South Milwaukee. The conception, creative strategy, and execution of South Milwaukee Sam encapsulates everything we stand for at Savage: bravery, positivity, and a commitment to creating incredible work—always.
“This project continues to be one that the team is extremely proud of. Not only from the initial success but from the fact that every single Savage team member plays some kind of role within the project. The cherry on top is the involvement with the City as we are truly collaborating and having a ton of fun which helps too. People are so happy to see Sam and he is so proud of his City.”
