Founded by a group of diehard golfers, Galway exists to empower those who refuse to let wind and rain get in the way of their game. When the founders couldn’t find the proper gear to unlock their highest potential, they invented it themselves.

Modern tech meets history and heritage
Despite the cutting-edge, weatherproof tech used in the apparel, modernizing the brand too much would do a disservice to Ireland’s golfing legacy. It was important for us to pay homage to the dedication of diehard athletes; to those who respect the history and the architecture of the game. In order to connect with the target audience, we had to find a way to bridge the gap between new and old—creating a balance that honors golfing traditions while promoting the gear’s impressive technology.
Tell the Galway story
Cranes are highly regarded in Irish folklore for being agile fliers. Due to their ability to move between land, water, and sky with ease, Celtic mythology views this bird as a symbol of shapeshifting and magic.
Cranes form communities amongst one another. Much like the average golfer, these social birds find comfort in their flocks and are rarely seen alone.
This strong, confident bird sparked our inspiration to represent Galway’s brand. We created a crane-inspired logo that has a classic, timeless look—a symbol that represents the harsh elements of Ireland, the unrestrictive flexibility of Galway’s gear, and the flock-like social aspect of playing a round with your foursome.
